New President, Same Rule of Law

At our nation’s capital on January 20, 2017 Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence were sworn into office as the 45th President and 48th Vice Presidents of the States united. These elected men pledged an oath to uphold and defend OUR Constitution. Only then are they recognized as the highest Constitutional officers of our Union — that is key.

Though elected on November 7, 2016, taking on the office of the Presidency is conditional upon making a solemn and sacred oath of office to a piece of paper that was laboriously drafted and debated for five months by the continental congress in the sweltering Philadelphia summer of 1787. That piece of paper, which expresses America’s form of civil government, became our Supreme Law after it was ratified by 11 of the 13 colonies in 1789.

From that year with our first President George Washington until this past Inauguration Day swearing in Trump and Pence, 93 men have vowed to enforce We The People’s law as the highest Constitutional offices in the land.

It’s the sacredness of the oath of office that President Trump and Vice President Pence have solemnly agreed with Americans to enforce on our behalf, the following clearly stated objects which make for the purpose statement of our Supreme Law — the Preamble:

“…perfecting our Union, establishing Justice, insuring domestic Tranquility, providing for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty…”

Swearing to an oath of office is considered a sacred event by the fact that these two men stood before Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas — a representative of Him Who judges lawful behavior from unlawful behavior.

The oath of office is considered sacred by the fact that the right hand is held up toward heaven, where the blessing of liberty originate.

The oath of office is considered sacred by the fact that the left hand is placed upon the revelation of Holy Scripture. This is in keeping with the unbroken tradition established by President George Washington.

And there is one last relevant fact of the sacredness of the oath of office — you as witness to the swearing-in ceremony.

You, the American citizen, are the distinguishing key element that makes for our form of government. The people themselves chose as their civil servants, Trump and Pence, to enforce OUR Supreme Law of the United States Constitution. Everything hangs or falls upon that document. That is what makes for America as a republican form of government as guaranteed in Article 4; Section 4 of the US Constitution. Republican, not as a political party, but a nation governed by law in contrast with the passions of individuals or special interest.

“The rule of law will be enforced like never before,” declares President Trump before the Department of Homeland Security, just five day after his oath.

America is arguably the longest-standing civil body under the same piece of paper (rule of law) now at 228 years old. Other nations have scrapped their constitutions numerous times: France at least 15 since its revolution, Brazil is under its seventh, Turkey has had four since 1921, and Mexico under its fifth. For over two centuries America is immoveable about the rule of law. Our Constitution ever remains the Supreme Law of the land — not the President, Governor, or Sheriff.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence are now fully recognized as our President and Vice President because they took an oath to uphold OUR law. Not until that oath, are they installed into those high offices. The same applies to Governor Rick Scott, the highest constitutional officer for my State of Florida, and the same applies to Sheriff Al Nienhuis, the highest constitutional officer for my County of Hernando.

This means the President Trump, Governor Scott, and Sheriff Al Nienhuis, by law are bound to The People for the six stated purposes of our Law. To the degree those purposes are not fulfilled, crimes are committed against American citizens.

However, is it possible after 150 years of D.C. organized crime our new President will actually enforce our Supreme Law? In President Trump’s inaugural address he make one of the most profound statements in the history of inaugural speeches when he decalred, “Today’s ceremony…has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another — but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People.”

American citizens!, that confession is unprecedented in our generation of deep party divides between Republicans and Democrats. Yet it addresses what is so fundamental to our form of government under OUR Constitution. That the genius of America ever remains a government by the people, for the people, and of the people.

Every American President has taken the oath of office to uphold and defend OUR Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. The same applies to every governor and every county Sheriff. The key question is how faithful have our civil servants been to faithfully discharging the duties of constitutional officers? Will my Governor and your Governor, my County Sheriff and your County Sheriff follow President Trumps executive fidelity to relinquish unlawful authority by protecting the individual’s liberty to govern themselves?

The spirit of our Constitution does not change. Modifications come and go, officers are voted in and voted out. But OUR Constitution ever remains the unchanged Supreme Law of the land and it is up to We The People residing in our counties to ensure that crimes against our law cease and desist.
